REACh and GHS
Registration, Evaluation and Authorization of Chemicals, or REACH is the new regulation of chemicals legislation in the EU. This regulation started on 01 June 2007. From 01 June until 30 November 2008, all existing products could be registered. From the 01 January 2009, the period for the registration began and ends, according to annual consumption and hazardousness on Dec 01, 2010, 01 December 2013 and 01 June 2018.

The Globally Harmonized system, GHS, was not only keen to adapt global classification and labelling but also to harmonize the Hazardous Substances Law.
As a result, new limits, pictograms and hazards and safety precautions have emerged. In the European Union GHS started on 20 January 2009 and has to be implemented by 1 December 2010 for substances and by 1 June 2015 for mixtures.
